Desde muy pequeños, si vives en México y eres Católico o de alguna otra religión Cristiana, aprendes que el día 6 de enero los Reyes Magos traerán algunos juguetes como premio por haberte portado bien durante todo el año anterior… creo que la ventaja de esta tradición por sobre Santa Claus, es que en enero solemos olvidar lo que pasó el año anterior, por lo que los niños suelen portarse bien solo 5 días, los demás podrán ser olvidados para el siguiente año.
Este es el tercer año consecutivo que junto a mi familia ayudamos a crecer la magia de estos días, “junto a los Reyes Magos” llevamos mensajes de alegría a chicos y a grandes. Este año nos ha tocado platicar con algunas personas que han perdido a sus seres amados a causa de la pandemia y personas que están luchando con enfermedades como el COVID-19 y el Cáncer.
En nuestras familias tenemos también estas experiencias, perdidas de seres amados y afortunadamente, también sobrevivientes a ambas enfermedades. Así que los mensajes que enviamos salieron del corazón, con real y verdadera empatía de nuestras partes, pues comprendemos las dificultades que las familias están pasando en estos momentos.
Pero no todo fueron mensajes que nos hacían nudos en la garganta. También tuvimos la oportunidad de platicar con personas pequeñas y grandes de quienes vimos la magia prenderse en su mirada… hicimos videos y video llamadas, y solo un par de pequeños estuvieron con nosotros. No puedo decir cuales nos dieron mayor ilusión. Pero les puedo comentar que todos y cada uno de ellos lleno nuestro corazón de esperanza en la humanidad, pues la bondad y la ilusión aún son valores presentes en nuestra sociedad.
Tercer año en un hilo que somos parte de esta magia, y espero que sean muchos, mucho, muchísimos años más.

From a very young age, if you live in Mexico and you are Catholic or of some other Christian religion, you learn that on January 6 the Wise Men will bring some toys as a reward for having behaved well throughout the previous year … I think the advantage of this tradition over Santa Claus, is that in January we usually forget what happened the previous year, so children usually behave well for only 5 days, the rest may be forgotten for the following year.
This is the third consecutive year that together with my family we have helped to grow the magic of these days, “together with the Three Wise Men” we bring messages of joy to children and adults. This year we have had to talk with some people who have lost loved ones due to the pandemic and people who are struggling with diseases such as COVID-19 and Cancer.
In our families, we also have these experiences, loss of loved ones and fortunately survivors of both diseases. So, the messages we sent came from the heart, with real and true empathy from our side, because we understand the difficulties that families are going through at the moment.
But not all were messages that made us lump in our throats. We also had the opportunity to talk with young and old people of whom we saw the magic catch on in their eyes… we made videos and video calls, and only few children were with us. I can’t say which ones gave us the greatest illusion. But I can tell you that each and every one of them filled our hearts with hope in humanity, because goodness and hope are still present values in our society.
Third year in a row that we are part of this magic, and I hope it will be many, many, many more years.
