La historia del Cascanueces.

Estoy seguro que muchos conocen la historia del Cascanueces, ese ballet de Chaikovski, mismo escritor de El Lago de los Cisnes… esta pieza forma parte de una de mis películas favoritas, estoy hablando de FANTASÍA, la película animada de Disney por medio de la cual tuve la oportunidad de tener mis primeros acercamientos la música clásica y el ballet, ¿quién no recuerda la escena de los cocodrilos y los hipopótamos danzando?.

Pero la historia que yo quiero contar es otra, un poco diferente… les cuento que la ciudad de Toluca existe una Orquesta que está haciendo historia, que al igual que Disney, está acercando el arte a muchas personas que antes no habían tenido acceso a espectáculos de gran nivel, a personas que no sabían siquiera que la música, el ballet, el canto y otros elementos artísticos pueden ser un deleite. (pensaban que era muy aburrido)

El Cascanueces, montado por la OFiT, ha sido reconocido con la nominación a Las Lunas del Auditorio por el montaje mostrado en 2018 (el premio más grande en México para este tipo de eventos), y ahora en 2019 nos ha dejado con la boca abierta mejorando la propuesta al incluir actos de magia, mejorar el ballet e incluir cientos de detalles que hacen que el público nos enamoramos de espectáculo.

La historia que quiero resaltar, es como este ballet ha cambiado la forma en que yo, junto con muchísimos otros, hemos cambiado nuestra manera de ver el arte en nuestra ciudad. Además de que esta Orquesta está moviendo a muchas personas a también ser agentes de cambio y difundir el arte en muchas otras maneras. Claro que no menosprecio el esfuerzo que muchos otros grupos han realizado, pero los eventos como El Cascanueces han logrado resaltar a nivel nacional e internacional.

Los invito a disfrutar del arte, este nos ayuda a generar emociones que a su vez ayuda a que nuestras mentes puedan generar nuevos pensamientos, nuevas formas de ver las cosas.

The Nutcracker’s Story

I am sure that many of you know the story of the Nutcracker, that ballet by Tchaikovsky, the same black Swan writer… this piece is part of one of my favorite films, I am talking about FANTASY, the Disney animated film through which I had the opportunity to have my first approach to classical music and ballet, who does not remember the scene of crocodiles and hippos dancing?

But the story that I want to tell is another, a little different … in the city of Toluca exists an Orchestra that is making history, which, like Disney, is bringing art to many people who had not access to high-level shows, to people who didn’t even know that music, ballet, singing and other artistic elements can be a delight. (They thought it was boring, as I thought many years ago).

The Nutcracker, assembled by the OFiT, has been recognized with the nomination to “Las Lunas del Auditorio” for the assembly shown in 2018 (the biggest prize in Mexico for this type of event), and now in 2019 it has been even more impressive including acts of magic, improving ballet and including hundreds of details that make the audience fall in love with the show.

The story I really want to highlight is how this ballet has changed the way I, along with many others, that we see art in our city. In addition to the fact that this Orchestra is moving many people to also be agents of change and spread the art in many other ways. Of course, I don’t depreciate the effort that many other groups have made, but events produced by OFiT have been recognized nationally and internationally.
